David Sunman and Peter Moller had some early Christmas cheer, winning a Christmas ham and turkey respectively, in the final competitions before Christmas.
Sunman was a narrow winner in Saturday’s Par event. His fine plus four was matched by Craig Simes and Ramon Thorne, with Sunman winning on count back. Barry Rollbusch and Bill Skinner were only one stroke behind, on plus three.
Marlene Tyler won the women’s competition with a plus four as well. It is an unusual occurrence for so many golfers to break their handicaps so comfortably: no doubt a testament to the perfect golfing weather and the excellent condition of the course.
Peter Moller stole the show on Friday night’s Turkey Run. Playing in the final group, he shocked those in the clubhouse when he presented his card showing 23 points for the nine hole event. Moller shot a thirty eight off the stick to easily win the Christmas turkey first prize.
