Results - Stroke competition
Saturday, 6th March 2010
With many golfers playing in Millicent, a smaller field of competitors contested Saturday’s’ stroke event.
Darryl Tyler was in excellent form, scoring a nett 65, one stroke clear of Craig Simes. Tyler is still returning to form after a long lay-off due to a serious wrist injury. Now playing off a 7 handicap, his 75 indicates that he is rapidly regaining his old form.
Hassan Kari-Ali continues to figure in the winner’s list, this time with a nett 72 from his 17 handicap. Tom Murch and Mark Evans were ball winners, with each returning a net 73. Evans had played very little golf due to the harvest season, but the break from the game seems not to have affected him.
Birdies were in abundance, with five players recording birdies on the par 3 holes.
